I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
[Chorus:]
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true
[Chorus]
Now I'm just rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.
This song reminds me of how I met my husband. I feel like our life was meant to work out the way it has. We have our beautiful children, and then we met each other. I don't regret being married the first time, because I have my kids as a result. I was only 19 the first time I got married, and now I am 33. I feel much more settled in my life, older and wiser. Lol ;)
Our path in life is determined by our choices. I feel like my choices lead me straight to Darren. We complement each other so well, that it is hard to imagine my life without him in it. I Thank God for sending him into my life at just the right time, when I needed him the most. I was so depressed that I saw no way out. I thought my life was over, and that my kids didn't need me. Boy was I wrong! My kids need me now more than ever. I am so glad that I am a big part of their lives. I feel like such a different person than I was even two years ago. Being a wife, mom and stepmom has brought so much joy into my life that I never thought possible. For the first time in my life, I am completely and utterly happy.
